After six of the seven seats at the Scugog council table were re-elected, only Ward 5 voters in the township will have the opportunity to choose a local councillor.
Lance Brown served as the representative for Ward 5, which includes the metropolitan Port Perry region north of Highway 7A, from 2018 to 2022. In the municipal election on October 24, he did not run for reelection.
